- Govt’s financial and logistical support to states affected by floods and landslides during the southwest monsoon* P V.Anandpadmanabhan
CM Eknath Shinde has thanked PM & Union Home Minister for Rs 1492 crore to Maharashtra
- ₹5858.60 crore has been immediately released to 14 flood-affected states. This comes from the State Disaster Response Fund (SDRF) and as an advance from the National Disaster Response Fund (NDRF).
- The distribution to the 14 states is as follows:
Maharashtra: ₹1492 crore
Andhra Pradesh: ₹1036 crore
Assam: ₹716 crore
Bihar: ₹655.60 crore
Gujarat: ₹600 crore
Himachal Pradesh: ₹189.20 crore
Kerala: ₹145.60 crore
Manipur: ₹50 crore
Mizoram: ₹21.60 crore
Nagaland: ₹19.20 crore
Sikkim: ₹23.60 crore
Telangana: ₹416.80 crore
Tripura: ₹25 crore
West Bengal: ₹468 crore - Over **₹14,958 crore has already been released to 21 states this year. This includes:
- ₹9044.80 crore from SDRF to 21 states
- ₹4528.66 crore from NDRF to 15 states
- ₹1385.45 crore from State Disaster Mitigation Fund (SDMF) to 11 states
- Additional financial assistance from NDRF will be provided based on the assessment reports of the Inter-Ministerial Central Teams (IMCTs).
- IMCTs have been deployed to Assam, Mizoram, Kerala, Tripura, Nagaland, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, and Manipur for on-the-spot damage assessment.
- IMCTs will soon be sent to Bihar and West Bengal.
- In addition to financial aid, the central government has provided logistical support, including deployment of National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) teams, Army teams, and Air Force support to all affected states.
- The release highlights the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the guidance of Union Home Minister Amit Shah in these relief efforts.
The government is actively working to mitigate the impact of the floods and landslides through financial and logistical support, with further assistance planned based on ongoing assessments.
