The theme of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao resonated powerfully today at SNDT, Mumbai, as an event that transcended expectations and unfolded into a grand celebration, packed with meaningful exchanges and enthusiasm. The day commenced with a warm welcome to guests, predominantly women from various districts of Maharashtra, who were highly interactive and fully immersed in the day’s proceedings. A significant number of men, representing various professional fraternities, also attended, adding to the dynamic atmosphere.
The stage was graced by distinguished guests, with BJP,Mumbai President Advocate Ashish Shelar serving as the chief guest. He delivered a thought-provoking address, sharing his insights on the current societal challenges and offering constructive ideas to further uplift the daughters of our nation. His words struck a chord with the audience, igniting rounds of thunderous applause.
Before the chief guest’s address, Dr. Shubha Pharande Padhye, the visionary and driving force behind the event, took to the stage. Having devoted herself to traveling the length and breadth of Maharashtra to champion Prime Minister Modi’s mission, Dr. Padhye captivated the audience with her impassioned speech, receiving waves of appreciation. Even after the formal conclusion of the event, an enthusiastic crowd surged forward to interact with her, thanking her personally for her relentless efforts in advancing Nari Shakti. Her leadership exemplifies the profound impact that educated and committed professionals can have in transforming society—a clear distinction from conventional political figures.
The day’s event also featured a prize distribution ceremony, celebrating the winners of creative activities organized under the Beti Bachao Beti Padhao initiative. This was followed by an engaging panel discussion, where a distinguished lineup of experts, including a doctor, advocate, senior women’s police officer, and NGO representatives, addressed vital issues relating to women’s safety, empowerment, and legal rights.
The event reached its crescendo with a resonating, unified chant from the audience, as women passionately exclaimed, “Shubha Tai, aage bado, hum tumhare saath hai!” (Shubha Tai, move forward, we are with you!). Their voices echoed through the auditorium, embodying the spirit of solidarity and empowerment that defined the day.
